Speech and Language Therapy Support Worker

The ELSEC Bradford project is seeking creative and committed health or education workers, or people interested in beginning careers in these fields, to train as Children’s Speech and Language Therapy Assistants and join the team. Approval for secondment from your current line manager is required; fixed-term contracts can be arranged to end of March 2026.
The postholder will work within the ELSEC Team delivering SALT screening and interventions to children in educational settings. You will also support the training of other staff in the use of identified tools across partner settings across Bradford. The role involves working across the city, supporting setting staff, parents and others in developing skills and confidence to support speech, language and communication development of children and young people in Bradford.
Responsibilities
* Deliver SALT screening and interventions to children in educational settings.
* Support training of staff in the use of SALT tools across partner settings in Bradford.
* Work across the city to support staff, parents and others in developing skills to support speech, language and communication development.
Qualifications
* Background in health or education, or interest in beginning a career in these fields.
