A well-established London-based law firm with a strong reputation across both commercial and private client work is seeking a Legal Administrator to join its Intellectual Property Litigation team. The firm advises UK and international clients and is recognised for its expertise, collaborative culture, and high-quality legal services.
This is an excellent opportunity for an organised, proactive, and team-focused Legal Administrator to join a busy Intellectual Property Litigation team. The role supports senior lawyers and a team of paralegals handling a high volume of copyright infringement matters, some of which progress to the High Court and the Intellectual Property Enterprise Court.
The successful candidate will have prior litigation experience and be keen to develop their legal career within a specialist and fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities include:
* Supporting senior lawyers with the coordination and supervision of a paralegal team
* Managing the paralegal team’s day-to-day workload, including scheduling and responding to queries
* Reviewing correspondence and court documents prepared by paralegals prior to senior sign-off
* Assisting with the preparation of court bundles and hearing documentation, including pagination, hyperlinks, and redaction
* Proofreading legal documents, engrossing letters, and formatting documentation
* Maintaining accurate diary management for key dates and client meetings
* Managing the receipt and processing of licence fees, damages, and costs, including payments to clients
* Preparing monthly billing for fees and disbursements
* Acting as a point of contact for clients and defendants, handling queries and providing updates on general developments
* Undertaking document retrievals and hand deliveries where required, including travel outside the office
Skills & Experience
* Minimum of 12 months’ experience in a fast-paced legal or professional services environment
* Previous litigation experience is essential
* Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
* Excellent organisational, administrative, and time management skills
* High level of attention to detail
* Confident and sensitive written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to manage competing deadlines and priorities effectively
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
* Demonstrates initiative, problem-solving ability, and a proactive approach
