Taylor Root is working with a globally recognised leader in educational services. They’re looking to take on an Interim Legal Counsel, who can be with them from mid-October for a 6 month Fixed Term Contract.
This is a role where you’ll be supporting their businesses across the UK and Ireland, as well as some of their wider international operations. This is a varied commercial role, encompassing a wide remit of work. The work is of a high quality, complex and cross border.
* You will give practical legal advice to key stakeholders on business as usual and project matters;
* Draft, review and negotiate a variety of contracts (services, IT, apprenticeship, co-operation, supply, distribution, confidentiality etc);
* You may also be required to provide support regarding M&A transactions, data protection, education regulation, disputes and ad hoc property and employment issues.
You’ll be sitting within a warm, approachable legal team and the role is one where you’re very client facing.
Key Requirements
* UK qualified solicitor, or solicitor qualified in another common-law jurisdiction;
* Ideally, at least 3+ PQE;
* Experience and strong ability in drafting and negotiating commercial contracts;
* In-house experience;
* Experience working with large, multinational clients;
* A willingness to learn and develop in new areas of law;
* You must be confident, robust and commercially astute.
The UK legal office is based in London, however they can consider flexible working including fully remote working.
