Key responsibilities and duties:
1. Support the business in its sub-contract repair needs
2. Carry out order placement and associated activities and proactively expedite the resulting orders.
3. Maintain and further supplier relationships
4. Ensure that policies and operational practices provide effective repair of products that cannot be repaired in-house
5. Obtain best value for money for services undertaken through effective negotiation with existing or potential suppliers.
6. Ensure compliance with internal Financial Authority Regulations
7. Monitor supplier performance & manage supplier performance improvement.
8. Ongoing monitoring of pricing structures, and establishment of pricing structures where none currently exist
9. To continually develop product and supplier market knowledge
10. Engage, support and obtain agreement from key stakeholders in respect of Supply agreement implementation
11. Liaise with the Commercial and Finance department to ensure the credibility of suppliers.
12. Contribute towards maintenance of the Vendor List, including supporting Quality with required documents for setting up and maintaining supplier approvals.
13. Carry out transactional activities on Navixa and maintain compliance with policies procedures in the company Business Manual.
14. Maintain the quality requirements of the business in relation to procurement activities and apply best industry practice.
15. Monitor the performance of current suppliers and the receipting activity and feedback observations to the Supply Chain and Logistics Manager on a regular basis.
16. Work with Material Planners to review safety stock and exchange stock, identifying material that should be held within pool stocks to support production plans.
17. Cross train with other areas to be able to cover during peaks of work or periods of absence, while maintaining and ensuring adequate levels of support to the business.
18. Support Material Review Boards (MRBs) to provide suggestions to the Business regarding alternative use of material or possible alternatives, in order to reduce cost or turn time.

Professional Qualifications/Education and Training:
Essential
36. Good IT skills include wide experience of word documents, Excel spreadsheets (including pivot tables and charts) and PowerPoint.
37. General commercial awareness.
38. Dealing with technical suppliers
Desirable
39. CIPS (Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply) qualified and/or equivalent.
Experience:
40. Previous procurement experience with responsibility for delivery of procurement benefits including financial savings.
41. Supply Chain background, with preferred emphasis on technical aspects within an aviation environment.
42. Knowledge of procurement tools & techniques.
43. Knowledge of financial, legal and corporate social responsibility issues.
