Overview
Tiptree Medical Centre has an opportunity for an enthusiastic and proactive receptionist to join our team on a full-time basis, for 35 hours per week.
Responsibilities
* Greeting and directing all patients.
* Making appointments.
* Answering queries and complaints from patients and outside agencies, signposting to the appropriate staff member as appropriate.
* Accepting, issuing and handing out prescriptions, letters, completed forms, specimen bottles, etc.
* Advising patients of practice procedures.
* Registering new patients.
* Accurately maintaining patient database and records, photocopying, filing and scanning.
The receptionist plays a pivotal role in the experience of patients at our practice, helping them to access the right services and dealing with their queries face-to-face, online and by telephone. General practice is a challenging environment that requires a calm and caring approach with the ability to work under pressure. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated team player who has customer service/patient experience and offers excellent communication skills.
We are a friendly, busy and innovative practice in north-east Essex. The team comprises two friendly, supportive partners and 7 salaried GPs. We have an excellent nursing team comprising 4 advanced nurse practitioners (ANPs), 1 paramedic, 4 practice nurses, 2 HCAs, 2 clinical pharmacists and 1 pharmacy technician.
We are an award-winning, semi-rural practice of approximately 12,000 patients, in Tiptree, North-East Essex. We are in an ideal location close to England's oldest town, Colchester, with nearby rail-links direct to London, and easy access to the east coast.
