If so, we have an exciting opportunity for an Advanced Lead Pharmacist in Surgery and Nutrition to join the Surgery and Critical Care pharmacy team at Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust (BHT).
As Lead Pharmacist, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and implementing new medicines and guidelines across multiple specialties, alongside providing clinical expertise to patients requiring parenteral nutrition. Working closely with consultants, specialist nurses, dietitians, and frontline healthcare professionals, you will drive excellence in medicines management, safety, and governance.

* Responsible for managing, delivering, planning, and developing the clinical pharmacy services to the Surgical directorate across multiple sites and patients who require parenteral nutrition (PN) trust-wide. The Surgical directorate includes Surgical Assessment Unit (SAU), Trauma and Orthopaedics, General and Elective Surgery, Urology, Gynaecology, and Plastics.
* To provide leadership and training to the team delivering this service to ensure high standards of care.
* To manage medicine-related risks and ensure compliance with Trust Medicines policy and medicines legislation within the surgical directorate and for patients with PN needs.
* To provide a consistently high pharmacy service to patients in line with the Trust’s corporate objectives and the NHS plan.
* To support the Trust’s financial objectives by providing financial analysis and advice related to medicines management to the Surgical Directorate, PN service, and Pharmacy department.
