About the Role
Join our field team building and maintaining Cubbie—innovative steel sensory units delivered flat-packed to
sites across England, Scotland, and Wales. You'll assemble units on location, work with steel panels (approx.
2.3m x 1m), and keep them in top condition for our customers.
Key Responsibilities
* Assemble Cubbie units on customer sites from flat pack, following build manuals and safety
procedures.
* Handle, align and fix steel panels/components; ensure accurate fit and finish.
* Carry out routine maintenance, inspections, and minor repairs to maximise uptime.
* Perform basic electrical tasks (e.g., connections, fault checks, replacing components) under training
and guidance.
* Conduct pre-handover testing and quality checks; complete installation/maintenance reports.
* Liaise with customers on site, provide clear updates, and deliver a professional handover.
* Load/unload, transport, and protect materials, tools, and components.
* Maintain tools, keep work areas tidy, and adhere to H&S and manual-handling best practice.
* Travel across the UK; occasional early starts, late finishes, or overnight stays as needed.
Requirements
* Proven hands-on skills with tools and mechanical assembly.
* Confidence working with steel components/panels.
* Basic electrical and general maintenance skills.
* Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationwide.
* Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
* Good problem-solving, attention to detail, and ability to work safely.
* Physically able to handle large panels and equipment using correct manual-handling techniques.
* Experience in site installation, fit-out, shopfitting, modular builds, or fabrication.
* CSCS or equivalent H&S certification.
* Basic IT skills for checklists, photos, and digital reports.
