Group Sales & Marketing Director
The Group Sales Director will take full responsibility for the sales strategy, execution and delivery. This is an operational board position reporting directly to the CEO and works closely with the Operations Directors to ensure that the business achieves its ambitious sales and gross margin targets, whilst maintaining its strong customer satisfaction ethos.
The business delivers services to both domestic and commercial customers. A key area targeted for growth is to increase its B2B market segment by focussing on framework agreements with social housing & local authority clients and utility companies as well as other commercial businesses who want to reduce their carbon footprint and reduce their energy costs..
Objectives for the New Sales & Marketing Director
In three months;
1. Ensure that the existing customer relationships remain strong ensuring revenue performance maximises the share of wallet of key customers.
2. Create the group sales strategy and start to build a pipeline of new sales across the commercial market segment
3. Ensure the sales and commercial team is working well together with Finance & Operations to ensure that propositions are converted into profitable revenue.
In 12 months;
1. Increase the proportion of commercial work as a percentage of overall turnover.
2. Ensure the sales pipeline is segmented and the sales generated are planned and organised in line with the strategic plan for the overall company.
3. Implement a new CRM system that will be utilised for lead management across all the operating companies including both commercial and residential.
4. Expand the range of commercial customers that the company works with
Candidate Requirements
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate:
* Willingness to live and work in Swansea.
* Proven experience managing a sales management team with responsibility for over 100 sales people, preferably in a related sector.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate both in-house and outsourced teams.
* Expertise in segmenting and managing sales pipelines to meet specific targets.
* A track record of leading the implementation of new data-driven systems and processes that improve sales outcomes.
* Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and customer satisfaction skills to build relationships with partners and consumers alike.
