Clinical Perform comprehensive clinical assessment. Request, perform, interpret, and follow up on diagnostics tests to support clinical decision making. Organises complex care planning and follow ups, including discharge planning and referrals to other services/organisations.
Communicate with and take the views of the patients/relatives and carers on board to ensure that informed consent is obtained prior to investigations and or treatment. Leadership and management Act as a proactive clinical leader, demonstrating effective leadership skills. Promote best practice for the patients, using standards, clinical guidelines, and research/audit findings. Develop and lead service improvement, utilising the transformation and quality improvement agenda.
Act as a resource in providing clinical leadership and advice to other teams and individuals and or other organisations, sharing knowledge and expertise Education Undertake statutory and mandatory training as required by the Trust. Participate in the theoretical and clinical education and training of others. To develop and maintain a positive learning environment for the team by providing support, ensuring developmental requirements are addressed Ensure that own skills and competence are regularly and actively updated in the light of research, audit, and knowledge. Be confident in the delivery of multi professional education and training.
Research Assist in data collection for local, national, and multi-centre research projects. Identify areas for research and audit, liaising with the research and audit teams. Analyse audit and research findings and interpreting them for practice changes.
