We are delighted to be recruiting for 6 x Revenues, Benefits and Welfare Officer to join our team following a recent restructure.
We are currently recruiting for:
5. 3 x Permanent full-time positions (37 hours per week)
6. 1 x Permanent part-time position (29.6 hours per week)
7. 1 x Fixed-term full-time position (37 hours per week) for 9 months – Maternity leave cover
8. 1 x Fixed-term full-time position (37 hours per week) for 12 months – Maternity leave cover
Salaries are as follows:
37hpw: £27,254 - £31,022
29.6hpw: £21,803.2 - £24,817.6
Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council issues and collects council tax and business rates from around 91,000 households and 5,700 businesses every year to fund the delivery of its services across the borough.
The Revenues, Benefits and Welfare Service supports the most financially vulnerable of the borough’s residents, administering council tax reduction and housing benefit and a wide range of welfare support schemes.
There are 3 operational teams within the Revenues, Benefits and Welfare Service:

In this post, you may have the opportunity to work interchangeably between all 3 teams as you progress through the career grade.
This is an interesting and varied role, and you will need to have excellent IT skills and good attention to detail whilst being able to prioritise and achieve targets.
You will have previous experience in Revenues, Benefits, Welfare or a similar environment and have a good understanding of legislation and procedures. You will be someone who is hard working, has excellent customer service skills, enthusiastic, and adaptable to change.
It is anticipated that appointments will be made at Grade G of the career grade, however applicants with substantial relevant experience may be considered for Grade H appointment.
