Pay: £13.75 per hour, paid weekly

Situated in the heart of Preston, this school serves a vibrant and multicultural community, where over 90% of pupils are from minority ethnic backgrounds and many speak English as an additional language. Your Role:
This rewarding role involves supporting children who are new to the English language and new to the UK school system. You will:
* Provide in-class and small-group support to EAL pupils, helping develop their confidence and communication
* Work closely with class teachers and the EAL coordinator to tailor support based on individual needs
* Support pupils’ social and emotional adjustment to school life in the UK
* Help build trusting relationships with pupils who may be experiencing anxiety, or SEMH challenges
Who We’re Looking For:
We welcome applicants who have:
* Experience supporting children with EAL, particularly recent UK arrivals
* Awareness or experience in supporting pupils with SEMH needs
* A nurturing, patient, and empathetic approach
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
* A commitment to inclusion, diversity, and equity

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
