Job Summary
We are currently looking for a Head of Regulatory Assurance to join us at the Regulator of Social Housing.

With a career at RSH you'll be joining an organisation that gives you the opportunity to make a difference to people's lives, regulating a sector that houses 4 million people across England.

Working as part of our Regulatory Engagement Directorate, you will support the delivery of effective regulation of landlords as we make sure they are well run and financially viable. Our regulation continues to drive social landlords to deliver improvements in the safety and quality of homes and engage with tenants in the delivery of services.

Job Description
As the Head of Regulatory Assurance you will take on a leadership role supporting the ongoing development of RSH's regulatory approach, bringing a focus on regulatory assurance and continuous business improvement. This may include leading reviews of lessons learned, as well as consideration of new and emerging regulatory requirements, and areas where we may want to strengthen our regulatory assurance.

You will be responsible for the robust quality assurance system that brings together the evidence and analysis on providers' compliance with the regulatory standards and provides assurance that regulatory activity and decision making meets internal quality requirements.

You will also be responsible for maintaining and supporting the regulatory assurance framework, including reporting to Executive and Board as appropriate. This includes assessing the level of regulatory assurance required, identifying where there are gaps against the agreed corporate appetite, and reporting on the extent to which requirements have been met.

This is a collaborative role, working to facilitate calibration of decisions, as well as leading and supporting knowledge sharing and on-going training to support rigorous decision making and capacity building.
