Senior Geotechnical Engineer
Full-Time | Monday to Friday | Early Finish on Fridays

An established contractor operating across the UK ground engineering sector is looking to appoint a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to support their ongoing growth. This role presents a fantastic opportunity for an experienced geotechnical professional to step into a position with a high level of autonomy and involvement in technically challenging projects.
The role will involve producing ground engineering designs, contributing to project delivery, and acting as a technical resource for internal teams. The successful candidate will be comfortable operating independently, offering design insight and mentoring less experienced engineers where required.
Role Overview

Undertake detailed geotechnical assessments and design work for active and proposed projects
*
Provide technical advice and support throughout the design and construction phases
*
Apply pile foundations and ground improvement strategies where appropriate
*
Ensure work is delivered to current codes and in line with quality standards
*
Liaise with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and site staff
*
Travel to company offices and project locations as required
What You’ll Bring
*
Degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Geology, or related subject
*
Strong working knowledge of UK and European geotechnical design standards
*
Significant experience in foundation and ground engineering design
*
Piling experience is useful but not essential
*
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work across multiple teams
*
Full UK driving licence
Location Flexibility
The position can be based near several of the company’s offices, with a preference for those close to Swadlincote or Chorley (North West). Some travel to the North West office will be required to engage with the wider team.
