We are now seeking an enthusiastic Intermediate Building Surveyor to join our expanding Professional Services team
The RoleThis is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious surveyor looking to further develop their technical abilities while contributing to a diverse and growing workload. You will support (and where appropriate, lead) the procurement and delivery of a wide range of professional services, including:
* Condition and measured surveys
* Defect diagnosis and reporting
* Technical due diligence surveys
* Party wall services and schedules of condition
* Contract administration & employer’s agent duties
* Principal Designer services (BSA & CDM)
You will operate across multiple sectors, ensuring a high-quality service throughout all your work. Working towards RICS Chartered Membership, will be encouraged and supported. Our Director is an experienced RICS Councillor and APC Assessor.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist and support the Professional Services team, leading small to medium projects where required
* Undertake residential and commercial surveys and diagnose building defects
* Develop specifications, drawings and documentation for tender and statutory approvals
* Prepare technical reports, feasibility studies, risk assessments and contract documentation
* Undertake project management, contract administration and employer’s agent functions
* Conduct site inspections, attend/lead meetings, produce progress reports and cost monitoring
* Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and industry best practice (Building Regulations, Planning, BSA, CDM, RICS standards etc.)
* Provide clear communication to clients and stakeholders
* Mentor junior team members where appropriate

Desirable:
* AutoCAD and/or Revit experience
Qualifications & Experience
* Degree in Building Surveying or closely related discipline (RICS-accredited preferred)
* Demonstrable experience in a surveying consultancy environment
* Working toward professional membership (e.g., RICS, CIOB) welcomed
