We are seeking an Indirect Category Lead to join our Europe Sourcing Team in a strategic, pan-European role that can be based in the UK, or our Estonia and Latvia locations.
Reporting to the Senior Category Manager you will play a pivotal role in shaping long-term investment and sourcing decisions. As Category Manager for Europe, you’ll be at the heart of our sourcing transformation, with a primary focus on indirect CAPEX.
You’ll lead the development and execution of our CAPEX strategy, processes, and supplier base ensuring robust Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) by delivering measurable value through a comprehensive total cost management approach.
What your impact will be:
* Lead and evolve the CAPEX sourcing strategy, aligning with business goals and long-term investment plans.
* Own the annual budget, forecasting, and reporting for your spend area(s).
* Develop and implement sourcing strategies that mitigate risk and drive value.
* Ensure cost competitiveness to meet financial targets.
* Manage contract negotiations and ensure timely execution with strategic suppliers.
* Oversee supplier selection and evaluation, including make vs. buy decisions, sourcing strategies, and VA/VE initiatives.
* Deliver sourcing projects that reduce total cost of ownership, especially within CAPEX categories.
What you'll need to succeed:
* Proven success in a global organisation, balancing local and international requirements.
* Strong analytical and financial acumen skills, with deep experience in CAPEX spend.
* Experience in a manufacturing or production business would be an advantage.
* Exceptional negotiation skills and adaptability in dynamic environments.
* Commercially astute, with the ability to develop strategies that perform in inflationary markets.
* Resilient and confident in leading initiatives through complex challenges.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills across all levels.
* A professional level of fluency in English is required. Any other languages such as German would be an advantage.
* Some ad hoc travel may be required.
