Job Title: Planning Officer – Development Management Salary: £28,907 to £33,330 (Scale 6 to SO1) (appointed grade subject to experience) 35 Hours per Week Location: Worcester, Worcestershire Team: Planning Development Management Permanent The Role: We have an exciting opportunity to join our small, friendly, and supportive team. As a Planning Officer, you will be responsible for managing a rewarding caseload of diverse planning applications. Strong communication skills, and the ability to think creatively and provide solutions to diverse problems are essential. We are looking for a friendly, enthusiastic and hardworking individual who is a real team player. You may be a recent graduate with a degree in a relevant subject and be aiming to become a chartered member of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI). We offer a supportive environment for those taking their steps on this journey. You would be involved in interesting projects, including working on the delivery of infrastructure across Worcestershire, such as new roads, bridges, and schools, to support a growing population. We are also seeking to ensure that waste can be reduced, reused and recycled through determining planning applications for waste management facilities. You would also help to determine applications for mineral development to ensure that infrastructure and housing can be provided.
