Location: Uxbridge (with potential to work at Barra Hall, Hayes)
Salary: £32,455 – £45,260 per annum
Contract: Full-time, Fixed Term (until July 2026)

About the Role
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated Foundation Studies Lecturer to join our team and contribute to the delivery and development of programmes within the Foundation Studies department.
The successful candidate will plan and deliver engaging lessons across a range of Foundation courses, with a particular focus on Access to Further Education (FE) programmes. You will play an active role in helping learners build confidence, develop essential skills for independence, and prepare for employment, apprenticeships, or further study.
You will also contribute to the ongoing development and quality improvement of the Foundation Studies curriculum, working collaboratively with colleagues to enhance teaching practice and learner experience.
About You
You will hold a degree in a relevant subject area, or a minimum Level 3 qualification combined with substantial teaching experience in Foundation Learning. You will have experience of teaching within Foundation Learning, including Functional Skills, and demonstrate up-to-date knowledge of effective teaching and learning strategies for students with diverse learning needs.
A Level 5 teaching qualification (or equivalent recognised by the FE sector) would be a strong advantage. We are looking for a passionate educator who is committed to inclusive practice, student progression, and continuous professional development.
Key Responsibilities
 1. Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality learning across Foundation programmes, including Access to FE.
 2. Support learners in developing independence, employability, and progression skills.
 3. Contribute to curriculum development and quality improvement initiatives.
 4. Work collaboratively with colleagues and support staff to meet individual learner needs.
 5. Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress, and achievement.
 6. Ensure teaching and learning practices align with current sector standards and inclusive education principles.
