Job Description:
FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a Project Controller to work for our client within the public sector. This is initially a 12-month contract with the potential to extend and will be a hybrid role based in Crawley or Bristol.
Our client is seeking a Project Controller with at least 5 years’ experience to join their team to provide project planning, monitoring, and control expertise. Working directly with the Project Manager (PM) and Project Management Office (PMO) Manager, this role supports the definition of project goals and objectives, creates and maintains cost and schedule baselines, monitors progress, and advises the Project Manager on decision-making through the presentation of relevant project data.
Key to the role is integrating into the project management team, assisting the PM in decision-making, and providing guidance and coaching to the project team. The Project Controller should understand project status to a level where they can analyze changes to schedule, cost, scope, and Integrated Business Planning (IBP).
Responsibilities
* Update project schedules to reflect progress and completed work, with estimates to complete (ETC) based on resource allocation
* Identify schedule slippages & mitigate through re-planning actions
* Provide performance data to support decision-making and improve planning and execution
* Organize and facilitate internal progress meetings
* Ensure consistent monthly Dashboard Pack Reporting
* Present cost/schedule aspects during Project Management Reviews
* Manage Cost and Schedule Change Control processes
* Coordinate the development of Visual Display Boards showing progress and milestones
* Adhere to project control standards and reporting procedures in line with policies
