The school is currently looking for an Assistant Headteacher to join their leadership team and contribute to the school’s journey towards excellence. This role offers the chance to play a pivotal part in shaping the educational experience and outcomes for all pupils.
The Assistant Headteacher will be instrumental in driving the strategic direction of the school alongside the Headteacher and other members of the senior leadership team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading areas of the school’s development plan, enhancing the learning environment, and ensuring the delivery of outstanding teaching and learning.
Responsibilities:
*Collaborate with the Headteacher in setting the strategic direction for the school.
*Lead and manage teaching staff to ensure high standards of teaching and learning are maintained.
*Develop and implement policies and practices that reflect the school’s values and mission.
*Oversee curriculum development and ensure it meets all regulatory standards.
*Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of teaching and learning outcomes.
*Manage staff performance, including conducting appraisals, mentoring, and providing professional development opportunities.
*Engage with parents, the local community, and external agencies to enhance the educational provision.
*Contribute to the pastoral care of pupils, ensuring a supportive environment that promotes their welfare and spiritual development.
Requirements:
*Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a proven track record of successful teaching experience.
*Experience in a leadership or management role within a primary educational setting.
*Strong understanding of the National Curriculum and other regulatory standards.
*Excellent leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
*Commitment to upholding the Catholic ethos and values of the school.
*Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
*Ability to analyse data effectively to inform decision-making.
*A commitment to continuous professional development.
