Gullane Primary School has expanded to reflect local housing growth. The school has 11 classes (a mix of straight and composite) and a custom-built nursery operating on a 48-week model to provide 1140 hours entitlement.

Job Details
The role of a Depute Head Teacher is to assist and, where necessary, deputise for the Head Teacher as required. The Head Teacher conducts the affairs of the school to benefit pupils and the community, within the resources available, by pursuing objectives and implementing policies set by East Lothian Council under the supervision of the Head of Education.

Full GTCS Registration is required.

This post is considered a Regulated Role with vulnerable children and/or protected adults, as specified in the Disclosure (Scotland) Act 2020.

Please Note - Pay arrangements for those starting after the first day of the school session
In accordance with Teachers Conditions of Service (SNCT - Appendix 2.19), teachers commencing employment after the first day of the school session will have their salary for the remainder of the school year recalculated to reflect how teachers accrue leave and pay.
Details of leave and pay adjustments will be provided to the successful candidate if applicable.
