Is our Primary Teacher (SEND specialist) at Oasis Academy Short Heath, the role for you?

You'll be joining us at Oasis, a large established Trust of 55 Academies but we're MORE than a MAT. We're here to support our communities and to address those barriers to education for our students.

About our Primary Teacher (SEND focus) vacancy

We're looking for a dedicated and compassionate teacher who will lead a small group of children with complex SEND needs. Each child will have an EHCP and we want to ensure that every learner receives personalised, meaningful support. In this role you will take responsibility for planning and preparing tailored activities that are closely aligned with pupils' individual targets, developmental needs, and learning pathways.

As a highly supportive, relational academy, inclusion sits at the heart of everything we do, and we are committed to nurturing staff as much as students. For the right candidate, there is also the potential for a TLR/SEN allowance recognising the expertise and/or leadership you can bring to this vital role.

You'll be joining an Academy where relationships are at the heart of everything we do. We do not have a large turnover of staff at Oasis Academy Short Heath and this is a reflection of this.

We're very proud of our students who are always central to every decision we make. We strive to provide opportunities for our families to work in partnership with us and run a variety of events throughout the year.

Recruitment timeline

We are looking to get the right candidate in post for September. We actively encourage early applications, and the position will close on Sunday 17th May 2026. Shortlisting will take place on Monday 18th May 2026 with interviews and lesson observations on Thursday or Friday 21st or 22nd. Invites to interview will go out following shortlisting.
