Advanced Pharmacist Governance and Medicines Management

We are looking for a Pharmacist who wants to enhance their skills in medication safety. The role will be working alongside the current multidisciplinary Medication Safety Team.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead on investigations and identification and implementation of learning from incidents.
* Strengthen your skills with the use of InPhase and attendance at events like After Action Reviews.
* Support in managing, updating and developing clinical guidelines.
* Take a lead on overseeing and co‑ordinating the Pharmacy Audit programme.
* Gain experience of responding to Patient Safety Alerts including opportunities to take the lead on action planning.
* Work with both Trust and Primary Care colleagues, attend multidisciplinary meetings and contribute to the medicine management agenda and its development.
Qualifications & Experience
* Registered pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
* Successfully completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy Practice or equivalent/transferrable experience.
* Desirable: registered non‑medical prescriber.
* Training and support will be given, and a commitment to continuing professional development is essential.
* Experience of audit, investigations and risk management, and knowledge of therapeutics and medicine use.
* Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of staff groups at all levels.
* Flexible, organised, team‑working attitude with a 'can do' positive mindset.
Commitment & Working Hours
Participation in weekend working and may include on‑call commitment.
