Overview
We are excited to advertise two senior clinical fellow posts in general paediatric surgery at Southampton Children's Hospital. One position is for a 12‑month contract starting as soon as possible and the second is a 6‑month contract starting in October 2026.
You'll join a team of six registrars, one senior registrar, one research fellow, alongside a busy department of seven general paediatric surgeons and three paediatric urologists.
Responsibilities
The senior fellow will provide high‑quality surgical care to infants, children and adolescents under the supervision of consultant paediatric surgeons. Responsibilities include assessment, diagnosis and management of elective and emergency paediatric and neonatal surgical patients, as well as active participation in clinical governance, teaching, research and service development.

* Duration: 12 months (starting as soon as possible) or 6 months (starting October 2026)
* Purpose: Structured training and supervised clinical development aligned with the specialty training curriculum
