Requirements Role Requirements · Lead and manage the E&M department in providing both a reactive and proactive, multi-skilled maintenance service on all production equipment and facilities infrastructure. · Lead, manage and develop the E&M team, including all aspects of performance management, providing clear and visible direction, identifying training needs and succession planning. · Set and drive the performance of the E&M department through Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) of people management, safety, and outputs, ensuring that Health, Safety and Environmental requirements are adhered to. · Responsible for planned scheduling of maintenance and overseeing the adherence and timely completion of work carried out. · Implement and manage continuous improvement and modern manufacturing principals by highlighting deficiencies and recommending changes in training, working practices and processes. · Deliver high value capital infrastructure development projects. · Site project management and budget management of multidiscipline projects (civil/electrical/water/fuel). · Review and optioneering of physical infrastructure layout and upgrades. · Participate in funding activities for Capital Projects. · Site CAPEX and OPEX budget control and project delivery. · Maintain rolling site Capital Projects Plan in conjunction with Group Project/Engineering function. · Negotiate contractor tenders and manage third party contractors. · Develop proposals for capital investment gaining input from site and function as required. · Develop and implement a Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedule, ensuring full preventative maintenance is carried out, plan in missed maintenance activities, and lead the team to deliver effectively. · Manage scheduling of both internal and external work(s), maximising planned down time and reducing unplanned downtime. · Manage the work to ensure machine availability, reactively managing dysfunctional machinery with Production management. · Supervision and control of equipment for the provision and reception of fuel oil, water, and waste, including the processing of returns where required. · Undertake the implementation of planned maintenance programs with respect to production and facilities equipment as per maintenance/inspection schedules. · Manage the process of the introduction of new machinery, plant and equipment from drawing up the specification, to managing suppliers through to full installation in collaboration with all relevant parties · Work collaboratively with Production and other internal stakeholders to ensure all assets are maintained to the appropriate standard of repair, safety and reliability. · Liaise with the Production team to ensure factory lay out and maintenance practices meet 5S standards to protect machinery from damage. · Ensure routine calibration and maintenance requirements of a variety of electro-mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems are undertaken · Manage the process of disposal of obsolete machinery, plant and equipment from gaining agreement to write off to physically removing it and its safe and lawful disposal. · Manage and maintain delegated R&M and labour budgets. · Manage utilities across the site, provide Finance with relevant data. · Proactively instruct and monitor inspections, repairs and maintenance, in accordance with insurance and/or legal obligations. · Work collaboratively with Production and internal stakeholders to ensure all assets are maintained to the appropriate standard of repair, safety and reliability. · Ensure that planned and reactive maintenance and capital investment are undertaken, using asset surveys and maintenance reporting tools, prioritising as required · Project manage site development projects and arrange repairs and maintenance to facilities/equipment by contractors, including the development of work scopes, acting as Clerk of Works where required and liaising with contractors in respect to inductions, health and safety compliance. · Participate in emergency call outs as required. · Audit and ensure compliance of the engineering data systems · Manage systems and equipment data storage and maintain high levels of standards and accuracy. · Conduct risk assessments of processes and tasks in the department. · Conduct Permit to Work processes. · Work as part of the site Senior Management team to share ideas and improve operation, recommending, supporting, and implementing continuous improvement activities, process and procedure improvements to optimise results and improve quality of service delivery. · Promote Company Core Values. · Ensure good health and safety practice is complied with at all times. · Report any risks or any evidence of unsafe or out of specification product, equipment, packaging or raw materials, to a designated manager to enable the resolution of issues requiring immediate action · Any other duties as required by management and within the competency of the post holder.
