This is a fantastic opportunity to earn while you learn, gaining hands-on experience in supporting students with additional learning needs while working towards a recognised qualification.
You'll work alongside experienced Learning Support Assistants and teaching staff, helping students to develop confidence, independence, and the skills they need to succeed.
What you'll do:
* Support students in class and small group settings, helping them to understand their work and stay engaged in learning
* Encourage positive behaviour, attendance, and participation in lessons
* Support students with literacy, numeracy, communication, and organisation
* Assist teaching staff with adapting activities and materials to meet individual needs
* Learn how to use assistive technologies and inclusive learning tools
* Keep accurate notes and records under supervision
* Work closely with staff across the college to support student progress and wellbeing
What we're looking for:
1. A genuine interest in supporting young people and learners with additional needs
2. GCSE English and Maths at grade 4/C or above (or willingness to achieve these during the apprenticeship)
