Senior Residential Support Worker – Children’s Home
Location: Coalville (LE67)
Contract: Permanent | Full-Time
Shift Pattern: 2 on / 4 off (including sleep-ins)
Salary: £28,000 – £30,000+ (dependent on qualifications and experience)

GSL Education is currently recruiting for a Senior Residential Support Worker on behalf of a well-established children's residential setting in Coalville (LE67). This is a permanent full-time opportunity, offering both support and progression for those passionate about working with young people aged 8–18 who present with challenging behaviours and complex emotional needs.
This role is ideal for experienced Support Workers who are ready to step up, or current Seniors looking for a new environment where their leadership and care skills will be valued and developed.

✅ Key Requirements:
* Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or working towards)
* Minimum of 2 years' experience in a residential childcare setting
* Strong understanding of trauma-informed practice and safeguarding
* Experience managing challenging behaviour with a nurturing approach
* A clear understanding of professional boundaries and high-quality care
* Driver with access to own transport (essential for call-outs and transport duties)

Key Responsibilities:
* Take a lead role in shifts and provide support and guidance to junior staff
* Act as a keyworker and positive role model for children in care
* Promote emotional wellbeing, safety and consistent boundaries
* Support day-to-day running of the home including routines, outings, and school transitions
* Maintain high standards of care, documentation, safeguarding, and health & safety
* Communicate effectively with families, social workers, school staff and external professionals
* Participate in supervision, training, and the ongoing development of the home
