A vacancy has arisen for a Warrant Officer (Int An) to serve as the Profession Warrant Officer and Wing Warrant Officer of HQ Intelligence Reserves Wg, RAuxAF at RAF Waddington on Additional Duties Commitment (180) Terms and Conditions of Service (TCOS), with an initial proposed start date of 01 March 2026 (or earlier dependant on successful candidate’s circumstances). Whilst the role is based at HQ Intelligence Reserves Wg, RAF Waddington, it will necessarily involve UK-wide travel in order to engage with the 7 x General Service Support Sqns with Int Reserves cohorts. In accordance with AP3392 Vol 7 Part 2 Chap 6 the post is also open for applicants to apply on alternative TCOS, including PTVR or VeRR. Applicants are requested to make their TCOS preference clear in their application covering letter, for review during the selection process. Applicants for alternative TCOS should state how the role could be delivered on their preferred TCOS, for consideration by the selection board. This post is responsible to OC Intelligence Reserves Wg for the discipline and personal standards on the Wing, as well as other key outputs listed below. Specific responsibilities of the Wg WO include: a. Be the lead Warrant Officer for Intelligence Reserves and the senior Professions specialist by appointment. b. Provide management and leadership to the Int Reserves component and act as a role model for all personnel. c. Provide specialist advice to Air Command staff and all relevant units and organisations on Intelligence Reserves matters. d. Provide specialist advice to Int Reserves personnel and their chains of command. e. As Profession WO, conduct unit-level visits where there are Intelligence Reserve personnel to facilitate two-way communication on local matters and ensure that Best Practice is shared / followed. f. Provide an Assurance to OC Intelligence Reserves Wg (the Capability Holder) and HQ11 Gp DACOS A2 & IW (the Capability Owner) that the Int Reserves Tasking tracker is being correctly administered by all Int Reserves cohorts providing tasking support. g. Deputise for XO Intelligence Reserves Wing as required. h. Act as SME in marking candidate Specialist Interview analytical assessments. i. Lead the TG11 Reserves Specialist Interview as and when required. j. Act as Specialist Member on Reserve TG11 promotion boards. k. Contribute to wider Int Reserves component policy decision making, concept and doctrine development and adopt a collaborative approach to common problems with Int Res Wg Execs and 2Gp GSS Sqn Execs.
