Role Overview
Responsible to the Service Manager - Environmental Health (Commercial and EP)
Duties and Responsibilities
* Undertake inspections of premises, business operations, construction sites, and permitted processes as required by statute and/or the Authority's policies, ensuring compliance and taking enforcement action when necessary.
* Prepare IPPC reports and risk assess premises.
* Review submitted permits and complete permit variations.
* Support technical officers in statutory nuisance investigations when required.
Qualifications and Experience
* Diploma or Degree in Environmental Health (or equivalent).
* Knowledge and experience in contaminated land.
* Experience in planning consultations and delivering high-quality responses.
* Knowledge of Local Authority air pollution control legislation and standards.
* Understanding of Statutory nuisance legislation and investigation processes.
* Experience with noise monitoring equipment, protocols, and standards.
* Demonstrable experience in environmental protection, pollution control, and statutory nuisance management.

* A full UK Driving License is required.
