What you’ll do
The pursuit lead will be working with the client at C level to commit to a significant multi-year engagement by having a comprehensive competitive sales strategy. The Pursuit lead will need the ability to plan and collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop compelling proposals, ensuring alignment with client needs and organisational goals.
This position requires the ability to obtain and hold SC and NPPV.
Key accountabilities:
1. Utilise existing network to build on and maintain key C-level relationships.
2. Develop strategic opportunity from initial qualification to contract signature.
3. Collaborate with clients to understand their needs, requirements and expectations, and lead interactions around delivery, operations, sales and events.
4. Engage early in the sales cycle to be able to influence strategy and effectively position yourself to create the opportunity to differentiate.
5. Keep ahead of industry trends and client needs to anticipate and address potential challenges in pursuit activities.
Who you are
6. A strong business leader with a demonstrable successful track record of complex selling, meeting sales targets, managing matrix teams, leading across multiple functions and fostering collaboration and accountability.
7. Experience working in or with Home Office.
8. Strong executive presence, high-level stakeholder management, relationship development and ongoing management, both internally and externally.
9. Strategic thinking and analytical skills with the ability to assess market trends and competitor landscapes.
10. Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills; with the ability to manage complex & multi-dimensional initiatives.
11. Industry knowledge as well as an interest in new avenues of growth, sustainability and public policies.
12. Positive, self-motivated individual with high level of interest and passion, a willingness to learn and ability to balance flair and innovation with the commercial imperative.
