Job Responsibilities
1. Assist with the administration of Court of Protection and Appointee cases on behalf of the nominated Deputy/Appointee for Lincolnshire CC.
2. Manage an allocated caseload from new referral through to day-to-day maintenance, referring to the Deputy/Adult Care workers where required for authorisations.
3. Follow procedures around deceased cases in a timely manner.
4. Ensure that all entitlements to benefits and other income are correctly managed and claimed on behalf of the service user, seeking professional advice where appropriate.
5. Complete the reconciliation and updating of client bank accounts on the case management system.
6. Ensure monies are promptly claimed and liabilities paid.
7. Manage weekly diary activities, daily bank reconciliation, processing of invoices, personal allowances through online banking or issuing cheques as appropriate, and cash provision.
8. Handle all incoming correspondence and emails daily, undertaking filing and file maintenance for the team.
9. Provide advice on telephone enquiries or refer to other team members as appropriate.
10. Assist in maintaining and updating the case management system.
11. Contribute to ongoing review of procedures and share learning with colleagues to foster continuous improvement.
12. Assist in developing and maintaining record-keeping systems for the inventory of client possessions.
13. Maintain effective working relationships and communication with key stakeholders involved in Deputyship and Appointeeship administration.
14. Perform other duties reasonably related to the character and level of responsibility of this role.
