IT Support Engineer - £26,000-£29,000 – Lancashire
This leading manufacturing company are seeking an IT Support Engineer to become a key part of their team. In this role, you'll play an active part in maintaining IT systems, whilst also gaining exposure to projects involving new technologies and infrastructure upgrades. It’s a hands-on role ideal for someone who really wants to progress their career into an Infrastructure Engineer position.
Key Responsibilities:
* Providing support for users across Windows-based systems, both hardware and software.
* Managing and resolving tickets through the IT service desk.
* Supporting a range of devices including desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.
* Assisting with infrastructure maintenance and contributing to upgrade/rollout projects.
* Setting up new users and systems (onboarding/offboarding).
* Maintaining accurate IT documentation and asset tracking.
* Collaborating with third-party vendors and suppliers.
Key Requirements:
* Prior experience in an IT Support Role.
* Understanding of Windows 10/11, M365, Exchange, and basic networking
* Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, and Windows Server environments.
* Any experience with VMware, Veeam, Linux, Azure, and firewalls is desirable but not essential.
* A proactive mindset, with a hands-on, team-first approach
