We are currently seeking an experienced, enthusiastic, and motivated Occupational Therapist to join our acute directorate at Great Oaks Hospital, Scunthorpe.
Role Overview
This role involves Clinical Leadership of the Occupational Therapists within the acute pathway and clinical work within the Crisis Resolution Home Treatment Team.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead and develop occupational therapy delivery on acute adult and older people wards, supervising Band 5 and 6 OT staff, rotational OT's, OT apprentices, and OT assistants.
2. Support the development of the Occupational Therapy pathway within CRHTT, focusing on mental health crisis support.
3. Contribute to quality improvement projects to enhance inpatient experiences.
4. Develop recovery and occupation-focused interventions, building and refining the CRHTT occupational therapy pathway.
5. Provide clinical leadership, supervision, and training to team members.
6. Assess and treat patients experiencing acute mental health needs, planning and implementing interventions collaboratively.
7. Ensure high-quality occupational therapy care, applying advanced clinical reasoning and best practice principles.
8. Lead evaluation and development of clinical practice within the team.
Qualifications and Experience
Applicants should have a strong understanding of occupational therapy's role in mental health crisis support and experience in clinical leadership.
