Spire Little Aston Hospital is currently looking for an experienced Business Development Executive to join their team on a full-time and permanent basis.
Spire Little Aston Hospital is a leading private hospital in the Midlands, offering comprehensive hospital care to patients from Birmingham and the surrounding areas of the West Midlands and Staffordshire. The hospital has an exceptional reputation within a variety of specialties including Orthopaedics, Sports & Exercise Medicine, Cosmetics, Ophthalmic, Gynaecology, General Surgery & Physiotherapy.
You will be working within our West Midlands Hub across Spire Little Aston, Spire Parkway & Spire South Bank.
As Business Development Executive you will be responsible to provide a range of support functions across the business development landscape including Marketing, Sales and Engagement.
The role will support the local growth strategy and business development plans, as well as supporting in the design and execution of the group marketing strategy.
To achieve this you will:
1. Support the Business Development Director to deliver business development initiatives, education, patient events and communications on time and in line with OTC growth plans
2. Support the general manager in identifying and delivering emerging opportunities in line with the OTC growth strategy, including engaging with consultants to promote and develop their practice
3. Work with the Business Development Manager and OTC General Manager to promote and developing new services conforming to Spire guidelines
4. Act as a brand guardian by holding a good knowledge of our brand identity and having an eye for consistency when viewing materials
5. Identify and assess local media / promotional opportunities within the community
6. Deliver local marketing initiatives (based on above opportunities) across a variety of channels to drive effective activation within the community, complementing the national marketing campaigns run by the central marketing team
What do you need to have?
7. Flexibility is expected so that the post holder is available to meet GPs and stakeholders at times that suit them and the role involves some evening and weekend working to support events
8. Competent user of MS Office
9. Understanding of the different marketing channels
10. Exceptional written skills and a keen eye for detail
11. Experience of writing compelling copy for a variety of mediums
12. Excellent proof-reading skills
13. Commercial awareness
14. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and spoken
