Position: Maintenance and Automation Engineer
Location: Bristol
Pay Rate: £40.84 per hour (Inside IR35)
Work Pattern: Hybrid
iO Associates is currently recruiting a Maintenance and Automation Engineer to join our client's team at the Broughton site. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a world-leading aerospace company, renowned for its contributions to commercial and military aviation, rotorcraft, defence, and space sectors. You'll play a vital role in high-impact projects, working within an innovative and collaborative environment that thrives on pushing the boundaries of aerospace technology.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Tool Engineering: Support the setup, repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting of tooling; assist in resolving issues with bespoke tools.
2. Automation: Assist in validating, testing, and integrating NC programs; work with cross-functional teams to enhance manufacturing efficiency.
3. Maintenance Support: Provide diagnostic feedback, help create technical specifications, and support analysis of equipment obsolescence.
4. TPM Engagement: Contribute actively to Total Preventative Maintenance (TPM) meetings and improvement initiatives.
Required Skills & Experience:
1. NC programming knowledge, including Fanuc and Siemens systems
2. HNC qualification or 10+ years' experience in Jig and Tool Design, Engineering, or Production Maintenance
3. Solid understanding of tooling maintenance and lifecycle requirements
4. Proficiency in CATIA V5
5. Strong IT skills, with the ability to prepare tooling specs and maintenance plans
