Nelson Recruitment are recruiting for a permanent Cross Head Extrusion Setter on behalf of their manufacturing client based in West Bromwich. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced setter to join a well-established business offering stable hours and long-term employment.
Pay & Hours
Hours of work will be 48 hours per week, working days
Monday – Thursday 7am – 7pm
Hourly pay rate - £14.00 plus depending on experience
What You’ll Do
* Report to a Team Leader and carry out all allocated tasks and instructions
* Set and operate Crosshead Extrusion machines
* Set up and pack production lines
* Maintain tools and equipment, including routine cleaning
* Take responsibility for inspection of incoming and outgoing parts and materials
* Keep all production and quality-related records up to date
* Ensure good 5S standards are maintained in the work area
* Take part in continuous improvement activities
* Ensure all Health & Safety procedures are followed at all times
* Perform other duties as assigned
What You Bring
* Strong knowledge and hands-on experience setting and running extrusion corrugation / crosshead extrusion machines
* Previous experience as a Setter is essential
* Experience in co-extrusion, specifically coating wires or hose/pipe extrusion
* Hands-on experience working with materials including:
* PVC
* Polyurethane
* Megalon
* Nylon
* Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
* Motivation to achieve targets safely while maintaining quality standards
* Ability to comply with and promote Atkore’s ATIRE and SQDC values
