An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and highly organised individual to join our Endoscopy team within the Glan Clwyd Hospital. You will work alongside nursing staff, doctors, the public, management and staff from internal and external sources through the provision of clerical duties.
High levels of customer service and excellent communication/interpersonal skills are essential, along with the ability to use your own initiative to solve problems as they arise. You should have experience in an administrative role, be competent in IT, and have attention to detail and accurate data capture.
Welsh language skills need to be learnt when appointed to the post.

Main Responsibilities
* Perform clerical duties and support the nursing and medical staff.
* Maintain accurate data capture and provide administrative support in an unpredictable environment with constant interruptions from patients, medical staff and external agencies.
* Use computer systems/I.T. efficiently and support the use of the PAS (Patient Administration System) as required.
* Assist with waiting list management and liaise with clinical staff where necessary.
Skills & Qualifications
* Excellent written, verbal and telephone communication skills.
* Good keyboard and computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
* Ability to concentrate on administrative duties under unpredictable conditions.
* GCSE Maths and English at grade C or above, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
* Experience in a hospital setting and dealing with the general public.
* Previous waiting list management and hospital based clerical experience.
* Competence in WPAS Patient Administration System (desirable).
* Welsh speaking ability (desirable).
* ECDL certification (desirable).
