Department Environment Housing & Infrastructure - Building Services Job Title Youth Trade Modern Apprentice (various) Apprentice rates are based on a percentage of the mid point of the qualified tradesperson scale on completion of each stage of the apprenticeship. Location Unit 5, 52 Underwood Road, Paisley PA3 1TL Renfrewshire Council are seeking to recruit 2 plasterer apprentices for our successful Modern Apprenticeship Programme. Successful applicants will be based at our Underwood Road Depot and will work across all Renfrewshire Councils property estate including housing stock, schools, care homes and offices. These can be any 3 subjects including English, Math s, Craft and Design, Graphic Communication or other Technical subject. It is also essential that you have a genuine interest in the construction industry and are able to carry out all tasks relevant to the modern apprenticeship. It is essential that electrical apprentices have passed the SECTT entry test prior to commencement. Applicants must be resident within Renfrewshire and aged between 16 and 19 years at the start of apprenticeship. It is desirable for you to have an NPA in Construction, Plumbing or Electrical Installation and Maintenance, experience of working in similar environment and have knowledge of the appropriate trade tools. It is also desirable that you have suitable IT skills, knowledge of Renfrewshire Council and have, or are working towards, a full current driving license. Successful applicants will secure a 4 year fixed term contract for the duration of the apprenticeship with positive opportunities for permanent employment with Renfrewshire Council.
