Join Our Team as an Assistant Warden Dudley Countryside Service is seeking two enthusiastic Assistant Wardens to become part of our progressive and passionate team. One vacancy is at Fens Pool Nature Reserve and one vacancy is at The Leasowes Nature Reserve. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a well-established service dedicated to the care and enhancement of Dudley’s diverse network of nature reserves. Our reserves are rich in wildlife, geology, and heritage, forming an integral part of the UNESCO Black Country Geopark. As an Assistant Warden, you’ll play a key role in managing National and Local Nature Reserves, protecting geological exposures, conserving historic landscapes, and improving Sites of Special Scientific Interest (SSSIs). You’ll also inspire and support volunteers, helping to deliver meaningful conservation projects across the borough. We’re looking for individuals with experience or a strong interest in the environmental sector, who are passionate about nature conservation and community engagement. You’ll understand the value of outdoor education and events, and work closely with volunteers, students, and trainees to promote Dudley’s countryside to visitors from near and far. This role is ideal for someone at the start of their conservation career who wants to make a real difference in a forward-thinking, dynamic service.
