Design Engineers\n\nCardiff/Bristol/Bath\n\nPermanent - On site/Hybrid\n\nWe are currently looking for Design Engineers to join us on a permanent basis to work on site at the following base locations. Cardiff/Bristol/Bath (You will only be based at one of these sites).\n\nResponsibilities:\n\n * Establish design intent and technical definition of assemblies, sub-assemblies and components as part of the overall system.\n\n * Work within a team, that is collectively responsible for development and delivery of complex design and product definition projects.\n\n * Identifying and communicating potential design problems to the rest of the team.\n\n * Creation of 3D models, 2D drawings and model-based definitions (MBD).\n\n * Applying manufacturing and quality specifications and assigning notes.\n\n * Establish interfacing components and sub-assemblies.\n\n * Management of assembly Digital Mock-Ups (DMU).\n\n * Creation and management of Bill of Materials (BoM).\n\n * Creation interface control documents.\n\n * Ensure timely resolution of technical issues for the sub-system, component.\n\n * Use standard product development processes for the sub-system, component to meet the overall program needs.\n\n * Management of your work using customer of PLM systems.\n\n * Providing support to customers and peers throughout the project lifecycles.\n\n * Producing reports and presentations to document work.\n\n * Ensuring all work adheres to the required industry and customer standards.\n\n * Ensuring compliance with the Capgemini QMS in the delivery of projects by the team.\n\nYou can bring your whole self to work. We have built a representative and welcoming environment, for everyone.\n\n * A strong engineering background and/or relevant engineering degree\n\n * Experience within the aerospace and defence industry desirable, experience within other sectors also considered.\n\n * 3D modelling and 2D drafting experience in CAD, ideally Siemens NX and/or Catia V5/3DEXPERIENCE, experience with other CAD packages also considered.\n\n * Knowledge of mechanical design principles, including GD&T.\n\n * Experience using PLM systems, ideally Teamcenter and/or 3DEXPERIENCE PLM.\n\n * Ability to read complex part and assembly drawings.\n\n * Proactive attitude and ability to communicate and report with a good level of verbal and written English.\n\n * Ability to work well in a team and individually.\n\n * Ability to work quickly and accurately to meet tight customer deadlines.\n\n * Export control awareness and adherence.\n\nDon’t meet every single requirements?
