About The Role
We are recruiting for a Care Team Leader at our established residential service based in Durham. Successful candidates must have a proven track record of managing a team with residents with mental health difficulties. Experience of self-harm and knowledge of trauma-informed care would be highly beneficial.

While fully embracing the company ethos, the Team Leader will support the service manager by leading the day-to-day management of a shift.
The role involves working in a proactive, responsive, effective, and person-centred manner to ensure the lives of those supported are enriched and they are empowered to be their best. You will provide practical assistance and emotional support to empower the support team and the residents, respecting individuality and enabling appropriate choices.
You will support the development and skills of Support Workers through recruitment, induction, supervisions, appraisals, training, coaching, and managing rotas, sickness, and absences.
Leading the team, you will ensure safe, effective, caring, responsive, and well-led support is delivered at all times. You will conduct evidence-based supervisions and observations, and support competency-based appraisals.
You will assist in managing transitions into and from the service, liaising with outside agencies, and ensuring all support/care plans are person-centred and up-to-date. You will oversee and support the development of high-quality services and maintain excellent service user records, empowering individuals to live as independently as possible.

About The Service
The Dispensary - Swanton Care is a newly opened care home in Durham, offering specialist apartment-style living for five individuals with complex needs, including Autism, Learning Disabilities, and physical disabilities.
