About the Role

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting children and young people with a range of additional needs—including PMLD, complex medical conditions, and autism—to achieve their educational and personal goals.

You will work across diverse learning contexts such as the classroom, the local environment, and the wider community, creating opportunities for every learner to thrive. This is a rewarding role where you’ll help foster independence, inclusion, and empowerment for our students.

Key Responsibilities

* Support students with their learning, development, and progress across all areas of the curriculum.
* Assist young people with complex needs, ensuring they are supported to reach their educational and personal potential.
* Promote equality, diversity, and respect—ensuring every student is valued as a learner.
* Provide high-quality support in line with individual education and care needs.
* Contribute to creating a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment.
* Participate in physical intervention and personal care routines when required.
* Develop your understanding of Special Education needs and embody the values of Aurora in daily practice.

What We’re Looking For

We are seeking candidates who are:

* Passionate about supporting children and young people with additional needs.
* Ambitious and determined, with a commitment to overcoming barriers to learning.
* Creative, proactive, and solution-focused.
* Enthusiastic about outdoor and community-based learning.
* Able to see potential in every learner, not just their disability.
* Excellent communicators, adaptable to different communication needs.
* Strong team players but also confident working independently.
* Fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people.
* Educated to at least Level 2 (or equivalent) in Math and English.

Training & Development

* Full training and funded qualifications provided.
* Ongoing professional development to support your career growth.

Why Join Us?

* A supportive and inclusive working environment.
* Opportunities to make a genuine difference in young people’s lives.
* Career progression and fully funded development pathways.
