Specialist Pharmacist - Operational Support and Education & Training

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and self‑motivated pharmacist to assume the role of Specialist Pharmacist - Operational Support and Education & Training at Chelsea & Westminster Hospital (Chelsea Hospital site) on a Fixed Term basis (12 months).
As the Specialist Pharmacist - Operational Support and Education & Training, the successful post holder will undertake the following duties:
* Leads, co‑ordinates and manages the development and provision of the Pharmacy Residency Service.
* Contributes to the provision of the clinical pharmacy service to patients within the Medicine Directorate ensuring the safe, effective, legal and accurate use of medicines within the speciality.
* Supports the provision of Pharmacy dispensary services to ensure a high quality of clinical service provision, a favourable experience for patients and service users and efficient processing of prescriptions and in‑patient medicine requests for patients.
* Manages the provision of clinical training and supervision to Resident and Trainee Pharmacists on rotation in the dispensary.

Job responsibilities
* Residency Service Management
o Be responsible for the co‑ordination and provision of the Pharmacy Residency Service.
* Ward Clinical Service
o Be responsible and accountable for the clinical pharmacy service provided to a sub‑speciality within the Emergency and Integrated Care Division.
* Dispensary Service
o Support the provision of an efficient, safe and legal dispensing service.
* Education and Training
o Lead and co‑coordinate the provision of training and supervision of Trainee and Resident Pharmacists on rotation in the dispensary in accordance with local and professional requirements.
Education and Qualification
* Vocational Master’s Degree in Pharmacy (plus completion of pre‑registration training).
* Registered as a practicing pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
* Certificate in Pharmacy Practice or JBP Postgraduate Certificate in General Pharmacy Practice or equivalent training/experience.
Disclosure and Barring Service Check
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
£58,133 to £65,261 a year per annum incl. HCAS
Some roles may require weekend shifts at multiple sites.
