We have an exciting opportunity for anenthusiastic and motivated HCA to join our Nursing Team!
Previous experience and clinical skillsare desirable, especially in Phlebotomy. All training for additional skillswill be offered to appropriate candidate.
The position is for up to 21 hours per week, you would be based at New Milton Health Centre Monday, Wednesday and Fridays. Flexibility to cover sickness and holiday isessential, and cross-site working may be necessary.
Main duties of the job
Dutiesand responsibilities:
New patient health checks
ECG recording
Urinalysis
Dressings, wound/ leg ulcer care
Administration of appropriate injections and vaccinations
Any other clinical procedures or assessments as deemed appropriate andadequately trained
Processing and management of laboratory samples requested by GPs/nurses
Cleansing and maintenance of surgical equipment
Vaccine/cold chain storage, monitoring and recording
Surgical equipment and vaccine re-stocking and stock rotation
Clearing and re-stocking consulting rooms
Preparing and maintaining environments and equipment before, during andafter patient care interventions including assisting GPs during the performanceof minor operations

Job responsibilities
The successful applicant will be working under the direct supervision of the nurse practitioner andstrictly in accordance with specific practice guidelines and protocols, thehealthcare assistant will assist the practice clinical team in the provisionand delivery of prescribed programmes of patient care.
