Primary SEN Practitioner - Blyth – Full-Time & Day-to-Day Roles Available
Monday–Friday | School Hours (8:30am–3:30pm)
We are seeking dedicated, supportive, and resilient Primary SEN Practitioners to work across a range of SEN schools in Blyth. These roles involve supporting children with ASD and challenging behaviours, helping them to thrive both socially and academically.
Responsibilities
* Providing 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with a range of additional needs in SEN settings
* Supporting pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and behavioural needs
* Helping children access learning through tailored strategies and structured routines
* Using positive behaviour approaches to manage and de‑escalate challenging situations
* Working closely with teachers, SENCOs, and other professionals
* Encouraging emotional regulation, communication, and engagement
* Following EHCP targets and contributing to ongoing progress reviews
What We’re Looking For
* Experience working with pupils with SEN
* Background in supporting behaviours that challenge
* A calm, patient, and proactive approach
* Good understanding of behaviour management strategies
* Strong communication skills and resilience
* Relevant qualifications in education, childcare, or SEN (desirable, not essential)
* A DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
