Our Witney site focuses on Manufacturing Excellence and Innovation in the development and manufacture of test strip and biosensor products used by patients and healthcare professionals for diabetes management. Due to strong business growth and continued product development in the biosensor business, we have an exciting opportunity for an Engineer to join our site-based Facilities Engineering team, with a particular focus on CCTV, Fire alarms, and Security Systems.
Responsibilities
* Support the expanding site with a focus on CCTV, Fire alarms, Security Systems, and Access Control, and assist with equipment used to control manufacturing and support area environments (temperature and humidity specifications).
* Coordinate and project manage updates, improvements, and alterations.
* Work closely with internal teams and external contractors to ensure activities are carried out under safe working conditions and in compliance with factory inspectorate requirements, statutory and regulatory bodies, local codes, and Abbott engineering standards.
* Work unsupervised and complete all tasks in a timely manner, following specific procedures and documenting all work on an electronic PC-based maintenance reporting system.
* Attend site outside normal working hours as part of an emergency call-out rota.
Qualifications
* Recognised apprenticeship within electrical engineering or building services.
* Relevant City & Guilds, BTEC or National Diploma qualifications.
* Experience and knowledge of CCTV and Security Systems, with supporting capabilities in wider HVAC systems, plant and components, and building services mechanical systems.
* Ambitious, highly organized, and able to work in a small team while being interactive on a wider business scale.
* Excellent communication and time management skills; comfortable working in a fast-paced, changing environment.
