Stock Condition Surveyor Job in North Yorkshire
We’re currently looking for an experienced Stock Condition Surveyor to support a range of housing projects across North Yorkshire. You’ll be responsible for carrying out detailed stock condition surveys, capturing data on-site using handheld devices, and ensuring accurate, high-quality reporting for long-term asset management
This role would suit individuals who are immediately available and looking for consistent contract work in the region. Previous experience in a similar role is essential, alongside a full UK Driving Licence and own transport.
Role & Responsibilities
1. Conduct detailed stock condition surveys on residential properties across North Yorkshire
2. Record and assess data in line with Decent Homes Standards, HHSRS, and asbestos awareness requirements
3. Use handheld devices/tablets for real-time data collection and reporting
4. Identify and report on property condition, age, remaining lifecycle of key components, and repair needs
5. Liaise with residents when required and represent the consultancy in a professional manner.
Required Skills & Experience
6. Minimum 3 years’ experience carrying out stock condition surveys, ideally within the social housing sector
7. Strong understanding of HHSRS, Decent Homes Standards, and general housing legislation
8. Full UK driving licence and own transport (essential due to travel across sites).
