Join to apply for the Lead Nurse role at NHS Scotland.
This is an exciting opportunity to join the senior leadership team in the Women, Children and Young People’s Care Division, specifically with the Children, Young People and Families Care Group NHS Tayside. The postholder will work to ensure the highest standard of care and quality services for children, young people and families across Tayside, delivering care across inpatient and community settings.
The role requires an experienced nurse or midwife with a track record of leading change initiatives and developing pathways of care.
Responsibilities
* Lead on Nursing and Midwifery Care Governance, Standards of Practice and Professional Governance for all Registered and Unregistered Nurses and midwives within the portfolio.
* Provide clinical and professional leadership to ensure person-centred care and high-quality services.
* Promote a culture of teamwork, communication and collaboration; lead quality improvement, research and practice development activities.
* Support continual professional development and ensure safe, effective and reliable care; manage workforce and staff governance.
* Work with the senior team in the care division and collaborate with the Associate Director, Associate Medical Director, Director of Midwifery and Senior Nursing and Midwifery colleagues and Clinical Directors.
Qualifications
* UK Registered Nurse or Midwife with post-registration experience across a variety of service environments, with seniority appropriate to the post.
* Degree-level education with specialist training or experience; Masters-level qualification or evidence of experiential learning commensurate with Masters level study.
Additional Information
* Frequent travel across Tayside and occasional national travel is required. Role remit is Tayside-wide.
* Hours of work: 37 hours per week, on-call commitments at times. Permanent position. Flexible working arrangements can be discussed.
