Senior Private Client Solicitor
Location: Brighton & HoveContract: Full‑time, Permanent
The Opportunity
A well‑regarded and growing law firm in Brighton & Hove is seeking an experienced Senior Private Client Solicitor to join its established and supportive team.
This role offers the opportunity to handle a varied and high‑quality Private Client caseload while playing a key role in delivering excellent client care and contributing to the continued development of the department.
The Role
You will manage your own caseload of Private Client matters and take responsibility for matters from inception to completion. The role combines fee‑earning, client engagement, and supervisory responsibility.
Key responsibilities include:
* Managing a varied Private Client caseload
* Drafting key legal documents and correspondence
* Handling new client enquiries and onboarding
* Attending client meetings and taking detailed instructions
* Progressing matters efficiently and in line with client expectations
* Supervising support staff and ensuring smooth file progression
* Maintaining strong financial control and compliance
* Providing clients with clear, regular updates throughout their matter
* Managing and safeguarding confidential documentation
About You
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
* Qualification as a Solicitor with strong experience in Private Client law
* Proven ability to manage files independently
* Excellent time‑management and organisational skills
* A proactive, client‑focused approach
* Confidence working both independently and as part of a team
* Strong IT skills and experience using case management systems
* A professional and empathetic manner when dealing with clients
