We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join a premier team of Management Analysts at the, Royal Air Force (RAF) Wyton, United Kingdom.
What will be your primary role?
The primary purpose of this position is to analyze and evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of segments of the activity's operations and management systems, gathering data and preparing reports and presentations to management and performing other clerical and administrative work in support of the office/organization. You will evaluate the effectiveness of existing software applications, for use within the command and train personnel in their specific usage. You will conduct analytical studies using data from various Agency and local sources to assess performance in key program areas, and prepare reports, summaries, and position papers with recommended changes, advising managers on further studies where duplication, misaligned efforts or outdated policies exist. In addition, you will conduct management control reviews to ensure compliance with Agency and regulatory policies and report findings, non-compliances, and improvement recommendations to senior management, and follow up to ensure corrective actions are implemented.

One year's specialized experience clearly demonstrating the Key Skills and Abilities (KSAs) required for the role, or a MSc degree or equivalent graduate degree in a field of study related to Administration.

What are the Key Skills required for this role?
1. Knowledge of or ability to learn DCMA data collection tools and systems.
2. Knowledge of Microsoft programs and their usage as it relates to collecting, compiling and sorting data.
3. Analytical ability sufficient to recognize data categories, identify trends within and between those categories.
4. Knowledge of various organizations, missions, functions and operations sufficient to plan, direct and implement Management Control Reviews and inform recommendations in pursuit of organizational compliance and continual process improvement.
5. Skill in written and verbal communication to provide advice, obtain information, develop presentations, and /or present briefings at various command levels.
6. Knowledge of the capabilities, operating characteristics, and advanced functions of a variety of types of office automation software (e.g., databases, spreadsheets, word processors); and knowledge of the similarities, differences and integration of the different software types. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing is required.
7. Knowledge of, or ability to learn the Joint Travel Regulations as well as the latest travel guidance from higher headquarters is required.
What are the conditions of employment for this role?
You will be required to handle and safeguard sensitive information in accordance with applicable US and UK laws, rules and regulations. You may be required to travel by military and/or civilian aircraft, and you may also be required to travel to the US or other country, in the performance of official duties or attend necessary training, this position may also be coded as mission essential. You will be required to complete a 6-month probationary period. Hours of work: 37.5 hours weekly. Fixed schedule: Mon-Fri Start & end times may be modified due to mission needs and in accordance with organization's flexible working policies. Overtime may be required, and you may be assigned other duties not included in this position description, but that are appropriate to the grade and skill set of the incumbent. Must be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. You must obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance. The Local National Direct Hire (LNDH) Program does not participate in regular drug testing, however positions covered by this document may be subject to drug testing upon reasonable suspicion of substance abuse, and safety mishap or accident testing.
