We have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and enthusiastic Purchasing Administrator to join our team at the Dartford Operations hub (relocating to Aylesford December 2025). As we continue to grow, you'll have the opportunity to make this role your own. Reporting directly to the Purchasing Manager, your focus will be assisting with the procurement of goods and services, maintaining accurate purchasing records, and supporting the wider business with all purchasing-related tasks. Working collaboratively within a high-performance team, you'll manage the procurement of one of our core products and be the MS Excel reporting lead.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure timely processing of daily requisitions (20-40) via our purchasing system from our UK hubs.
* Respond accurately to invoice queries (order discrepancies) to resolve issues effectively.
* Clear open receipts and update system records to reflect actions taken.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams and build strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders to identify opportunities, process improvements, and enhance supplier relationships.
* Take the lead on our core product: Soundex, managing the supply chain to ensure products are manufactured and delivered within set time frames and budgets.
* Source materials, equipment, and parts directly from retail/stores to expedite order fulfillment.
* Prepare and analyze reports/metrics to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
* Complete ad hoc purchasing and supply chain tasks to maintain good order and processes.
* Monitor trends and supply chain factors to inform business decisions.
* Support other departments with purchasing needs and requirements.
Requirements
* Relevant qualifications in business administration, purchasing, supply chain management, or a related field.
* CIPS or other professional procurement certification or similar.
* Strong understanding of procurement processes and supplier management.
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
* Knowledge of Syrinx or other procurement software/tools.
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel (Intermediate level).
* Excellent IT skills and familiarity with Office Suite.
* Manufacturing process knowledge/background.
